COFFEE FUNDRAISING: TIPS
1. Establish Goals and track progress
- Base goals on number of participants and % involvement
you would expect to see (40 – 70% participations is typical
for most organizations)
- Tracking progress helps you to know whether you need
to increase your communication throughout the event. A
goals chart can be helpful!
2. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
- Start communicating fundraiser two weeks to a month
in advance.
- Have a Kick-off for the fundraiser – get participants
fired up to achieve goal.
- Communicate fundraiser on a daily basis during the
event if possible.
- Decorate with flyers and posters.
- Run a contest soliciting artwork for most creativity
for a product sold.
3. Places to take fundraiser forms:
- Family
- Friends
- Work
- Church
- Neighbors (if you know them)
- Civic Groups
- Sports organizations (Little League, Pop Warner, Cheer
groups)
- Local businesses
4. Set beginning and ending dates for your fundraiser. Typically
schedule your fundraiser for a one to two week period. Virtual
fundraiser can be scheduled for longer term.
5. Only have 1 fundraiser scheduled during a particular
timeframe. Don’t schedule your fundraising activities
too close to one another. Parents get burned out on too
many fundraisers!
6. Motivate your participants through communication
of your own and/or Javámo’s incentives and prizes. |
