Autism Education & Support: Javámo Supports Art for Autism

ART FOR AUTISM FOUNDATION MISSION
To raise awareness of ASD, as well as to develop programs thatwill support parents, teachers and other caregivers in helping children on the Spectrum lead more productive, happy lives.

We are currently developing a pilot project which would fund bringing private resources into public classrooms to assist and train teachers in applying ABA techniques in a way that will improve the learning and teaching experience for all participants. This would be a year long, on-site program that would work with teachers in their real-world environment. Additionally, the program will also work with parents, siblings and other caregivers to unify the behavioral approach that is experienced by these children both in, as well as out of the classroom. Consistency is a key element to progress in how children on the spectrum learn and retain information. Ultimately, we are hoping to have this program certified for Continuing Education credits and perhaps even an accredited designation.
